Abstract:

I will present the overview of the modern approaches on Feynman diagrammatics, with an empha- sis on the recently highlighted diagrammatic Monte Carlo (diagMC) method. The diagMC provides a new pathway to achieve the numerically exact results on the long-standing problems of strongly correlated systems. I will describe the new algorithmic development of the diagMC method based on the framework of the homotopic action. Using the advanced algorithms of the diagMC method, I will display the numerically exact results of the paradigmatic 2d Hubbard model in the challenging parameter regime. Those results capture the characteristic features of the pseudo-gap state in the high-Tc superconductors near the metal-to-insulator crossover. Finally, I will summarize the ongoing algorithmic developments and open problems of the diagMC method. Its potential application for the non-equilibrium strongly-correlated systems will be discussed as well.
