Speaker:  Executive Dean Juli Wade, Rutgers University

Abstract: Juli Wade became Executive Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences in July 2023.  As she tells it, on her first day at Rutgers, she was informed that she needed to balance the budget for SAS. This has occupied much of her time as dean, but she has also supported departments in hiring faculty and replacing staff vacancies, developed the SAS Strategic Plan, and has made efforts to communicate with stakeholders across SAS.  Today she will be visiting the Department of Physics and Astronomy to have an open conversation with all members (students, staff, postdocs, faculty) of the Department.
