Professor Eva Andrei has been named a new investigator in the Emergent Phenomena in Quantum Systems (EPiQS) initiative of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. This grant is one of only 20 awards made in this second wave of the EPiQS program.
Eva's five year research effort, entitled "Investigating strategies for transforming the electronic properties of two-dimensional materials to create robust phases characterized by strong electronic correlations" is funded at the level of $1.6M.
It is extremely gratifying that the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation continues to recognize Rutgers' excellence in materials physics through its EPiQS and related programs.
