Graduate Student Daniel Seleznev, who is working with David Vanderbilt, has been awarded a prestigious 3-year National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. 

 

His proposal was entitled "Hybrid k-dot-p and Tight-Binding Model for Topological Insulator Heterostructures."  This year NSF awarded about 2,000 Fellowships selected from over 13,000 applicants.  Daniel Joins fellow graduate students Steven Clark and Angela Coe who are currently supported on NSF-GRFP Fellowships.
