Electrotoroidicity: New Paradigm for Transverse Electromagnetic Responses

Transverse electromagnetic responses reveal a fascinating landscape of phenomena—such as the Hall effect, Faraday rotation, and directional dichroism—traditionally linked to magnetotoroidicity. Now, we unveil a fundamentally different class of responses driven by electrotoroidicity in ferro-rotational (FR) systems that preserve both spatial-inversion and time-reversal symmetries.
